Who we are

Flag Fill (flagfill.com) is a daily colour-guessing game.

Data we collect

When you submit a colour guess, your guess (a hex colour code), the date played, the flag name, your score, and whether it was today's puzzle or a past one played from the archive are sent to our servers and logged for aggregate analytics. This data does not include your name, email address, or any other personally identifiable information.


To show you the correct daily puzzle no matter where you are in the world, our server briefly uses an approximate timezone derived from your IP address by our hosting provider, Cloudflare, at the moment of your request. This is used only to work out the correct date for you and is not stored or logged.


Your game state is also saved in your browser's localStorage. This includes today's score and the colour you guessed, your current and best streak, total puzzles played, the date last played, and a history of your past scores. This data never leaves your device.

Third-party services

We use the following third-party services, each of which may process data about your visit:

  • Google Fonts — loads fonts (including icon fonts and the Fraunces display typeface) from fonts.googleapis.com. Your browser makes a request to Google's servers, which may log your IP address.
  • jsDelivr CDN — loads the colour picker library from cdn.jsdelivr.net. Your browser makes a request to jsDelivr's servers, which may log your IP address. See jsDelivr's Privacy Policy.
  • Cloudflare — hosts and serves this site. Cloudflare may process request logs including IP addresses. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.

Your rights (GDPR)

If you are in the EU, EEA, or UK, you have the right to access, correct, or delete any personal data held about you. Because Flag Fill itself holds no personal data, these rights apply primarily to data held by the third-party services listed above.
